Do You Really Need a Light Sheet Microscope for Brain-Wide Analysis?

Please join us for an insightful webinar on Thursday, May 30th, where we will explore advanced and cost-effective techniques for brain-wide analysis.

Our distinguished speakers, Dr. Chip Gerfen, NIMH Senior Investigator, Dr. Brian Eastwood, Director of Machine Learning, and Dr. Nathan O’Connor, Senior Product Manager at MBF Bioscience, will discuss how our cutting-edge technology, NeuroInfo, can efficiently generate high-resolution brain-wide analyses without the need for expensive light sheet microscopy.

In this webinar, we will cover:

  • NeuroInfo’s innovative BrainMaker algorithms for 3D reconstruction and analysis of whole brains from serial sections.
  • Trade-offs between different techniques in terms of data quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Real-world applications of BrainMaker in comprehensive brain research and its potential to advance your own research projects.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about the latest advancements in brain-wide analysis and how they can benefit your research. We look forward to your participation and the engaging discussions that will follow.

Upcoming Workshops

International Virtual Workshop on Confocal Microscopy and Stereology
Date: August 5-9, 2024

Description:
This workshop is presented by Dr. Peterson. This workshop will provide intensive, practical training in the cutting-edge technologies of confocal microscopy and quantitative histology using design-based stereology. Discussions follow each topic and there is individual post-workshop project consultation.

Dr. Peterson is an internationally respected expert in the application of stereological principles in the areas of neuroscience and stem cell research. He is a Professor and Director of the Center for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. Dr. Peterson is the President of NeuroRenew, Inc., and serves as the course convenor and primary lecturer for the international workshops.

Who Should Attend

  • Graduate students who need to use modern microscopy or stereology in their projects
  • Postdoctoral fellows who would benefit from a comprehensive introduction to microscopy and stereology
  • Young investigators who need to incorporate these analytical approaches into their labs
  • Investigators new to histological analysis who need a rapid and complete introduction to these techniques

Please note that MBF Bioscience only recommends courses and workshops taught by capable and qualified instructors with no commercial affiliations.
